Eva Karene Bartlett has been blocked from Facebook for 24 hours, this is her message: A few days ago, I shared a friend's post about the release of hostages from the clutches of western-backed terrorists. It included the 11 names of these men, a woman and two children (as the friend said, many of them from one family), as well as a photo of them (as shown on Twitter and shared by the friend). I'm wondering what was exactly so offensive about the post, what exactly 'violated community standards' to have it removed and me blocked from communicating on FB for 24 hours. Was it my reference to the soldiers (Syrian and local allies) on the ground protecting Syria? Was it the non-graphic image of the released civilians? Was it that I named Channel 4 as 'shameless' and that they continue to lie about Aleppo, as they have consistently? It is so interesting that 'independent journalists', like Bilal Abdul Kareem, can be seen posing with terrorists themselves (be they al-Qaeda/al-Nusra or Nour al-Din al-Zenki), and on their own FB pages share these terrorist-lauding reports, and yet this is no violation of 'community standards'. Incidentally, Bilal is routinely aired by Channel 4 on their own FB page... The same mercenary-applauding Channel 4 a few months ago published (then removed) a video lauding Nour al-Din al-Zenki militants, better known for their beheading of Palestinian child Abdullah Issa, and in which some have opined the very child-beheaders are present, accompanied by Channel 4's Krishnan Guru-Murthy. Presumably, this video was also shared on Channel 4's FB page and only doesn't exist due to embarrassed self-censoring by the Channel, not due to Facebook 'community standards'. Ry Dawson
